APS totally engineers, blueprints, consults with you, the customer,  and assumes responsibility for the repair 
APS co-ordinates the order, performs the Babbitt repair, arranges transportation and returns the repair to you.........pronto!

Babbitt bearing repair is more than just replacing Babbitt. We totally and completely recondition the bearing, insulate if necessary, clean any water jackets, re-machine the oil grooves, and return the bearing housing to specifications.

Only Virgin Turbine Grades 2 and 3 Tin, Tego & Grade 7 Lead Base are Utilized.

Chemical analysis tests and samples of the Babbitt used are furnished as requested.

 

Machining

 

Surface finish to 32 RMS is Typical for Bearings

Surface finish to 6BL or better is Typical for Thrust Collars

Bore tolerances holding to .001
